Goodbye '81, 1982

The year ended in tears,
As did the year before...
It was supposed to be fun,
But.

A lot of stuff happened,
And a lot of people got stuffed,
But '81 was a year of assassins,
And for one--it was successful.

Goodbye Sadat.  Thank God for
Reagan and the Pope--at least
They were saved for a while,
But there was more...

There was a wedding,
And I don't mean Lady Di,
But I'm very happy for Pam,
And memories are great.

Of course, there was fun in '81,
And I had my share of it,
Because there was White Oak,
C2, and Philly Two.

May 1982 be a little better.
