Day In, 1971

Day in, day out,
Life flies all about,
Time stands still without a cry,
People are born and die.

All of us are caught up in a spin,
They notify your next of kin,
A eight-hour work day is no fun,
Anyone got a gun?

You'd think this would go away,
But in comes the day,
No matter what you do,
That is what's true.

You-----
Want to go to parties,
Want a color T. V.,
Want a gold Cadillac,
Or maybe a new Rolls-Royce,
You fight for the right to be an individual,
But you're just a little slow,
Cause you're in a great, big spin.
