I Walked Today Where You Walked, 1970

I walked today where you walked,
Along those rocky paths,
I saw the house that you called home,
With its walls falling down,
That little place has not changed,
Everything here's the same,
I walked today where you walked,
Where people come and pray.

I saw today what you saw,
That mountain behind your house,
The one you climbed at night,
When it was very cold,
I ate the food you ate,
And it wasn't very good,
I climbed the hill of Rattlesnake,
I climbed the hill of Rattlesnake,
I climbed the hill of Rattlesnake,
Where on the top--I saw,
The place you were for that week,
And I thank God for it.
